The director announced a new project was in the works via his Twitter page on July 11:

Blackfilm
reports that the new film Lee alluded to is Red Hook Summer, which the site says is about an “adult from Atlanta who comes and spends the summer in [the] Red Hook section of Brooklyn, New York.”

Spike hasn’t stepped in front of the camera since 1999′s Summer of Sam. Are you excited to see him bring back his old character from the block?
