Lil Wayne and Lady Gaga Nominated for Bowling Hall of Fame
Did you know that a few of the top names in entertainment like Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and Michael Jordan are master bowlers, too? Yeah, neither did we!
The Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA) just announced its nominations for the 2011 International Bowling Hall Of Fame and the list is peppered with celebs who are just as good on the lanes as they are on stage or in front of the camera. Teen pop singer Justin Bieber, actor Jeff Bridges, actress/singer Miley Cyrus and reality TV star Kim Kardashian are among the others on the list.
"Each of these 2011 candidates has had a significant impact in helping to keep bowling as one of the nation's most treasured pastimes," International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame Chairman Keith Hamilton tells AllHipHop. "If last year's down-to-the-wire showdown between Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber is any indication of what to expect for 2011, we'll be ready for a fierce battle to determine who is the next star to achieve bowling immortality."
Fans who vote for their favorite candidate are being offered a free game at one of 4,000 participating bowling centers nationwide. Voting takes place through National Bowling Day on August 6, which is when the winner will be announced. For more info, and to cast your vote, visit gobowling.com.
