The "S & M" singer has taken the #1 spot on Facebook from the mother of all monsters
One of the most important criteria to being a Pop star is popularity. Lady Gaga seemed to have had that on lock as everyone from Barbara Walters to upcoming presidential hopefuls have expressed their like for the New York native. It seems, however, the tide might be changing in Rihanna’s favor.
According to MTV, the Barbadian singer usurped Gaga as the queen of Facebook on Saturday, after FB figured out who had the most “likes” on the social network site. Even though both singers have over 40 million likes, RiRi is ahead of the race with about 88,000 more fans than the “Born This Way” rocker.
This year has been an especially good one for Rihanna who took home the BET Award for Best Female R&B artist and for the strong support from music lovers for tracks like “Man Down” and “Only Girl (In the World).”
The 23-year-old singer is currently on her Loud tour.
