Star Jones Slapped With Court Papers at Book Signing
Star Jones got an unwanted visit from the ghost of marriage past at a book event in East Hampton.
The New York Post reports that during her signing at the store BookHampton, the former Celebrity Apprentice star was served with court papers by her ex-husband, Al Reynolds. Sources said that Reynolds had difficulty serving Jones the papers since he filed a lawsuit against her in May for allegedly breaking their 2008 divorce agreement, which says that they are not to make “disparaging remarks” about each other.
Reynolds is asking for $50,000 from his ex after she allegedly broke the agreement when she went on The Wendy Williams Show on March 28 and called their marriage “kind of booty.”
Sources also said that, at her book signing, Jones looked “noticeably upset” once she was confronted by the processor, who served her the papers and snapped a picture.
Jones has been traveling the country promoting her new book, Satan's Sisters.
