Nas Teams With UNICEF

The legendary rapper will help children in the Horn of Africa, along with other celebs.

The United Nations Children’s Fund, aka UNICEF, is known for doing work and providing services that help children around the world in various necessary ways.

As a result, UNICEF is rarely short on help as Danny Glover, Whoopi Goldberg and Shakira are all celebrity ambassadors, to name a few. Most recently, Nas is set to join the roster of big names vowing to help children in some of the hardest hit regions.

More specifically, AllHipHop.com says the spitfire MC will help raise money for children in the Horn of Africa through the UN organization’s “Month of Giving” initiative. This particular Eastern African region is experiencing a severe drought. It is said more than 12 million people risk dying of starvation.

Joining the rapper in getting the word out on the cause via Twitter, Facebook and through live shows are Ringo Starr, Selena Gomez, Eric Clapton and others.
