Believe it or not, despite his growing real estate fortune, continued reality show success and the fact he previously announced he wouldn’t be running for president, Donald Trump is still eyeing that big job in the White House.

He told CNBC, “If the economy continues to be bad…if the Republicans pick the wrong candidate I would give it very, very serious thought. There are so many people wanting me to do it.”

This time around "The Donald" plans to strike out on his own without the help of Democrats or Republicans; he says he’ll run for president as an Independent or third party candidate.

Earlier this year The Apprentice star created a media blitz when he toyed with a White House bid. The real estate developer trash talked President Obama in the process by questioning his U.S. citizenship and demanding to see his birth certificate.

Shortly after the President released his full birth certificate to the media Trump ended his pre- presidential stumping by announcing on May 16, “I am not ready to leave the private sector."

At the time, many celebrities including Bill Cosby publically criticized Trump’s hot-air talk tactics.
