The actress and her husband are due on Christmas Day.
It's going to be great Christmas for Essence Atkins and her husband if their special delivery arrives on time. The 39-year-old Are We There Yet? actress is expecting her first child with sales/marketing executive Jaime Mendez on Christmas Day, People reports. The couple met via online dating site Match.com and were married in September 2008.
"Our gratitude is overwhelming to have found each other and adding a baby to our happy home is truly a dream come true," the couple says. "We are both elated and humbled by this amazing gift."
