Beyoncé’s InStyle September cover issue hits newsstands tomorrow on Friday, but why wait to share the goodies?

In a twelve-page fashion spread where the performer is mostly laid-back in high fashion gear like Bulgari and Dior, Beyoncé opens up about what she discovered during her nine-month break. From learning how to direct and edit her own videos to sharing that “women who don’t have female friends scare me,” the Texas belle says she believes flaws are God’s work and that she hates ‘yes’ people.

So why the break in the first place? Bey tells the mag, “I did it for my sanity, my life, my relationships.” This included taking time out for her hubby Jay-Z, 41, and younger sister Solange, 25. Pressing pause might be difficult for her, but what's not is kicking off her stilettos as soon as she enters her New York City home.

While she says she cringes at hearing her own songs in the club, she honestly can’t get enough of watching her guilty pleasure “Jersey Shore,” or listening to British sensation Adele or Frank Ocean, whom she says “is the truth.”

Next month, expect more Beyoncé as she turns 30 and launches another fragrance called Pulse.
