Kobe Bryant Gives Bonus to Two Laid-Off NBA Workers

Bryant and his teammates help two team employees given the boot during the NBA lockout.

He may have pissed off a lot of basketball fans during the playoffs last season, but Kobe Bryant made the day of two NBA employees. The generous b-ball star and his teammate Luke Walton handed over their playoff bonuses—amounting to $65,000—to Chris Bodaken and Patrick O'Keefe, two of the Lakers' video technicians who were laid off as a result of the NBA lockout.
Sixty grand is barely fun money for Bryant and Walton, who earn millions upon millions per season, but it undoubtedly means a lot to the two dudes who will be cashing those checks. Well played, guys.
