Teairra Mari is in trouble. Yesterday, the singer/actress, who starred in last year's Lottery Ticket opposite Bow Wow, was arrested for DUI in Beverly Hills. But it gets worse—much worse. During the incident she allegedly tussled with police officers, and now she's being charged with assault on a police officer as well.
According to TMZ, the 23-year-old beauty was driving a silver Infiniti through the ritzy L.A. neighborhood around 3:00 AM on Friday and got into a fender bender. Police arrived at the scene, saw "signs of intoxication," and arrested her for DUI. One witness said Mari was "really messed up...she couldn't even stand."
That's where things really got serious. Mari allegedly became "combative," and sources say one officer a "minor cut" to his hand during the arrest.
As a result, Mari—who got some buzz earlier this month when her "Remind You," produced by Darkchild, leaked—now faces multiple charges, including DUI and assault on a police officer.
At press time, Mari was still in custody with bail set at $50,000. Her reps have yet to comment.
