Ron Artest Can't Change His Name

This NBA lockout is leaving basketball players with a little too much time on their hands. Kris Humphries sold his soul, Kobe Bryant is giving away his fortune and bad boy Ron Artest wants to change his name to Metta World Peace.

But the fight-prone forward's dream has been put on hold, thanks to a Los Angeles court commissioner. Artest's outstanding traffic warrants have delayed the name change until at least September 16.

Despite the delay, Artest went forward with his celebratory barbecue for his new identity. No word on how his guests addressed him. But if Ron was smart, he'd be focusing more on becoming MVP than MWP.
