Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice both bash Cheney’s memoir.
Former Bush vice president Dick Cheney has a new book out and no one’s happy about it. This is especially true for former Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, according to The Huffington Post.
While participating in a recent appearance on “Face the Nation,” Powell, 74, charges the former Veep with taking “cheap shots” and denies Cheney orchestrated his resignation from the Bush administration in 2004.
In response to Cheney calling his book "explosive," the legendary general says, “It’s not the kind of headline I would have expected to come from one of the vice presidents of the United States of America” adding, “Dick overshot the runway.”
For Rice’s part, the 56-year-old history-maker tells Reuters that Cheney’s accusation of her being naïve and giving misleading advice during a North Korean nuclear weapons negotiation is an “attack on my integrity.”
It seems the waterboarding advocate didn’t see eye-to-eye with either one of his Secretaries of State.
