The muscle-bound actors could go to battle for new pic.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner could be getting ready for a battle of biblical proportions. The pair are rumored to be co-starring in the drama Goliath, an epic retelling of the classic tale of Philistine warrior Goliath and his battle against David, an everyman who must take him down in order to save his people.
Lautner is reportedly close to signing on for the project, which is being produced by his Twilight bosses Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, and The Rock is in advanced talks. Relativity Media, the studio backing the picture, promises it will have a dark touch and follow in the modern-epic tradition of 300 and The Bourne Identity.
Former wrestler Johnson is a perfect pick to play the angry giant. At 6' 5" and 260 lbs. he makes even Lautner, whose abs may actually have been cut from marble, look downright diminutive.
