For the past three weeks The Help, starring Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer, has been holding down the number one spot. But, the film featuring these "ladies in uniform" was knocked down to second place by this weekend's debut of the new Steven Soderbergh film, Contagion, Reuters reports.

The thriller, which stars Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne, Gwyneth Paltrow and Matt Damon, among others, focuses on a deadly global virus that the Centers for Disease Control is hustling to contain before it takes everyone out.

Contagion brought in over $23 million dollars over the weekend that commemorated 9/11, while The Help still pulled in impressive returns, earning $8.7 million over the weekend.
