The actress has signed on to star in the digital indie drama.
Paula Patton is going into the digital age for her next movie project.
Deadline is reporting that Patton has been added to the cast of the film Disconnect, an indie drama that stars Alexander Skarsgård, Frank Grillo and Jason Bateman. The film, directed by Henry Alex Rubin, is the story of how "lives intertwine as the digital technologies designed to bring people closer together push families further apart."
No word yet on who Patton will play or how her role ties into the plot.
The actress enjoyed success earlier this year as the blushing bride with family secrets in Jumping the Broom and will cap off 2011 by starring alongside Tom Cruise in anticipated action joyride, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, in December.
