Gospel singer Mahalia Jackson's family not happy that she has "become pregnant by a married man."
Fantasia Barrino may be starting her maternity leave a little earlier than she expected. The singer, who was set to play gospel legend Mahalia Jackson in a biopic, is rumored to be close to losing the gig.
According to the New York Post, members of Jackson's estate were “aghast that Barrino has become pregnant by a married man.” The producers said that she claimed that she was putting on weight for the role and not telling them about her unexpected pregnancy until she was four months in.
Producers are trying to smooth things over between Jackson's family and Barrino, but in the mean time are keeping an eye out for a replacement.
