Hint: he's under three feet tall.
Forget complicated scene study and expensive acting schools, La La Anthony has found the best acting coach right in her own home. The reality star-turned-actress, who made her stage debut this month in the off-Broadway play Love, Loss and What I Wore, says she's taken to prepping for shows in front of her toddler.
“I rehearse with [Kiyan], which is really funny,” says Anthony, 32, of her 4-year-old son with basketball player Carmelo Anthony. “I tell him, ‘Listen to Mommy tell this story and tell me what you think.’”
The best thing about rehearsing in front of her child, says Anthony, is that he's an easy crowd. “Today he said, ‘Mommy, my prom dress is powder blue and white,’” a line from her character’s monologue. “He thinks anything I say is so funny, he just laughs.”
La La's other fans? Best friend Kim Kardashian and her hubby Kris Humphries. “She just couldn’t believe it and afterwards they stood up cheering and Kris yelled ‘La La, you’re the man!’”
With her own personal cheering section following her everywhere, the transition to thespian should be an easy one for La.
