Naomie Harris Told to Change Her Voice for James Bond Film

Producers say it's too high-pitched for a Bond girl.

For Hollywood's PYTs, being told to lose weight, hire a stylist or change their image is old hat. But Naomie Harris, the British actress recently cast in the new James Bond film Skyfall, received an unusual request from the producers.

Shadow and Act cites various U.K. newspapers that claim producers have asked Harris to change her voice for the role of Bond girl Eve. "The film's producers feel that her natural voice is too high-pitched, and they prefer that it be more husky, going for something sexier and more 'womanly,'" the blog reports.

The actress, 35, had previous stated that she loved Grace Jones's performance in the Bond film A View to a Kill. Since they don't come sexier or more womanly than Miss Jones, perhaps Harris can look to her predecessor for inspiration.
