Michelle Howard, estranged wife of Terrence Howard, obtained a restraining order against her actor husband.

TMZ reported that Michelle got the order, claiming the Hustle & Flow star constantly beats her and threatens to kill her. In court documents, Michelle claims that the Oscar-nominated actor slugged her across the face and neck and, once, chipped her tooth with his wedding ring.

Terrence has vehemently denied his wife’s charges, writing in his own sworn declaration that he has never threatened his wife, and that she is the one who is looking to ruin his Hollywood reputation.

"I live in constant fear of Michelle's endeavors to ruin my reputation,” Terrence wrote, “even providing this declaration may well lead to my being subjected to a paparazzi blitz, which would not be good for my career."

A  Los Angeles County Superior Court judge did grant Michelle a temporary restraining order preventing Howard from going near her or contacting her until their next court hearing.

Michelle filed for divorce back in February.
