On television Naturi Naughton has graduated from the club to controlling the inner working sanctum of the backroom.

The former Playboy Club actress is now set to star in the upcoming Lifetime drama series, The Client List, according to Deadline.

The series centers around a Texas housewife hard hit by the recession, played by Jennifer Love Hewitt, who ends up running a massage parlor called The Rub after her husband leaves her. Naughton will portray Kendra, a beautiful hardworking masseuse at the parlor. And one more series plot twist in line with other adult-themed cable TV dramas—this massage parlor reportedly supplies happy endings.

The Client List originated as a 2010 TV movie, which starred Hewitt. After becoming a huge ratings success for Lifetime, the network greenlit the idea to remake it into a series. Naughton’s character Kendra did not appear in the TV movie and was created specifically for the reboot.

Expect to see a lot of The Client List in the new year; Lifetime has ordered ten episodes of the series for 2012. Here’s hoping this drama will utilize Naughton better than her last series?
