The Queen of Soul has found love.
The Queen of Soul has a new lease on life, thanks to her fiancé.
Aretha Franklin is engaged to William "Willie" Wilkerson, a longtime friend, according to The Associated Press. The two became husband- and wife-to-be over the holidays.
Franklin and Wilkerson are mulling over a summer wedding in Miami Beach, as well as a reception on a private yacht.
And despite rumors, the soul diva told the press with a bit of snark, "No, I'm not pregnant." As for her gown, Ms. Franklin is looking into customized pieces from Vera Wang, Valentino and Donna Karan.
Franklin has been married twice before, first to Ted White, and then actor Glynn Turman of "A Different World."
