Kardashians Launch Own Magazine And Barbie Doll

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. That's what the Kardashian girls must have been thinking when they decided to take control of the press and launch their own magazine. The New York Post reports the famous sisters have been pitching the idea to various publishers and are close to inking a deal with American Media Inc., which owns Star, The National Enquirer and Shape.

“This is a Kardashian idea,” a source said. “They have been reaching out to several media outlets.” Insiders say momager Kris Jenner won't be editor-in-chief, but she and her daughters will be "heavily involved" in the content of the fanzine, which will cover all things Kardashian.

“Now the Kardashians can spin their own stories in print,” quipped an unnamed competitor. After nearly self-detonating from the negative press following Kim's divorce with Kris Humphries, can you really blame them?

The newsstand isn't the only place the Kardashians are hoping to make their mark this year...look out for them in the toy aisle, too. Us Weekly announces that the girls will be taking the short leap to total plastic by launching their own line of Barbie dolls, modeling after each of the three Kardashian sisters.

"The dolls will reflect the girls' measurements and may even come in Kardashian-designed outfits," says a source. Kim seemed to confirm the news just before the new year when she tweeted, "Merry Christmas Barbs! I'm sure we'll be seeing lots of each other [in 2012]. Shopping soon!"

One person who likely won't be subscribing to Kardashian Weekly or playing with the celebutante-inspired dolls is Amber Rose. The model dropped a bomb on RadarOnline.com by calling Kim Kardashian a "homewrecker" who was largely responsible for the demise of her relationship with Kanye West.

According to Rose, she was dating Kanye and Kim was with NFL star Reggie Bush when the rapper and the reality TV star first hooked up. “They were both cheating,” Amber, 28, said. “They were both cheating on me and Reggie with each other.”

Rose, who is now dating rapper Wiz Khalifa, seems to have moved on from the heartbreak quite well. “I want to thank her,” she said about Kim. “Because if she was never a homewrecker, then I never would have met Wiz, and I wouldn’t be as happy as I am now.”
