Eddie Murpy’s back on the big screen alongside Kerry Washington and actor Cliff Curtis in A Thousand Words, a new comedy that explores the consequences of every word we speak.
Murphy plays Jack McCall, a literary agent who’s fast talk routinely seals his deals. After trying to get over on a deal with a spiritual guru (Curtis), Jack discovers a magical Bodi tree has popped up on his property. With every word Jack speaks, a leaf falls from the tree and he realizes that when the last leaf falls, both he and the tree will perish, leaving him to discover outrageous ways to communicate and a handful of life lessons along the way.

A Thousand Words hits theaters this Friday, March 9.
