Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey and independent film Pariah were among the winners at the 23rd annual GLAAD Media Awards. The show celebrates outstanding work across all media representing the LGBT community.

Mother Monster took home the prize for Outstanding Music Artist for her Born This Way album while The Oprah Winfrey Show won for Outstanding Talk Show Episode, in recognition of a show on people coming out of the closet. Sundance breakout Pariah, a drama about a lesbian teenager directed by Dee Rees, was honored for Best Film in Limited Release.

The awards were hosted by Glee's Naya Rivera and Cory Monteith, and featured appearances by Russell Simmons, Wendy Williams and Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi.

More awards will be handed out on April 21 in Los Angeles and June 2 in San Francisco.
