It hasn't been a great month for Martin Lawrence. Two weeks after filing for divorce from his wife, media sources are whispering that the comedian's comeback to primetime will be put on hold indefinitely.

Insiders say CBS has decided to drop Lawrence's sitcom pilot, in which he plays a widowed father of two who pursues a career as a cop after losing his construction job. The series was to co-star Regina Hall.

No word on why the network won't be moving forward with the series, or if it plans to bring it back in the future.

The Bad Boys star has no other film or television projects on the immediate horizon, but will likely have his hands full with his divorce from his wife of just two years, Shamicka.
