Last year, Star Jones wrote a novel about the inner workings of a daytime television talk show, and this year that novel is being adapted for television by daytime talk queen Wendy Williams.

Satan's Sisters, Jones' semi-autobiographical novel about a group of ladies who host a View-like talk show, is heading to VH1 as either a TV movie or a mini-series, produced by Wendy Williams and Sister, Sister creator Suzanne de Passe. The power ladies recently announced a joint producing venture, and Satan's Sisters will be their first collaboration.

Jones announced plans for the adaptation on Williams' couch yesterday, and revealed her casting choices for the lead character, Maxine Robinson, described as the first African-American network news anchor and the big boss of the talk show (sounds a lot like a Black Barbara Walters).

Jones says her ideals for the role include Diahann Carrol, Diana Ross and Lynn Whitfield, though none of them are officially attached to the project as yet.
