Tiki Barber wasted no time taking on another Mrs. Barber. 

The former New York Giants player and co-host of Today, 37, married girlfriend Traci Lynn Johnson, 23, on Thursday in New York City, just eight days after his divorce from wife Ginny Barber was finalized.

“It’s a great day,” Barber told the New York Post on the way in to the Manhattan Marriage Bureau, where the couple were wed in a simple court ceremony. “We’re finally getting married.”

But Tiki's happy day isn't without controversy. The one-time NFL player left his wife of 11 years for Johnson, a Maxim pin-up and intern at NBC, in 2010. Ginny was eight months pregnant with the couple's twin daughters at the time.
 

Barber claimed Johnson, whom he met on the set of Today, where she was an intern, helped him through a tough period during which he was fired from the show. “I have a wonderful girlfriend who loves me and got me through those bad times,” he said last year.
The couple had planned to wed in a lavish ceremony in the Hamptons on May 12, but had to call off the nuptials because Barber's divorce had not yet been finalized. Their comparatively low-key ceremony on Thursday was attended only by a few close friends and family.
