Boris Kodjoe returns to the big screen as Luther West in the sci-fi action thriller Resident Evil: Retribution. The 39-year old actor is battling zombies with Alice (Milla Jovovich) and the bad guys of the Umbrella Corporation, which includes bad gal Rain (Michelle Rodriguez).

Kodjoe chatted with BET.com about his new movie and how his Ghanaian and German roots made fitting into Black American culture a challenge. Plus, he shares what’s great (and not so great) about working with wife and sometimes co-star Nicole Ari Parker and more.
