The hit TV sitcom Modern Family is offering its audience absolute holiday cheer by having Billy Dee Williams star as himself for an episode titled “New Year’s Eve.” Entertainment Weekly reports that for the episode, Jay Pritchett (Ed O’Neil), while on a family trip to Palm Springs, comes across Williams during a card game.

The Hollywood icon (and 1970s sex symbol) isn’t the first African-American actor to guest appear on the series. Last season, Kevin Hart starred as the good friend of Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell).

No word yet on when the episode featuring Williams will air. In the meantime he’ll be keeping busy with upcoming projects. Williams recently completed filming the drama The Bitter Earth and The Trace. He’s also starred on the soap opera General Hospital and the Web series Diary of a Single Mom.
