Hollywood's biggest night of actors applauding their own has come to a close, with no big surprises among the winners. The Screen Actors Guild Awards took place Sunday night in Los Angeles, giving honors to the casts of 30 Rock, Lincoln and Argo, among others.

Ben Affleck's period drama Argo was the big winner, taking home the award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture. The film's prospects are looking very strong going into next month's Academy Awards, where it will compete in seven categories, including Best Picture.

30 Rock's final season is also going out with a bang, earning Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin back-to-back awards. Show creator Fey took her acceptance speech as an opportunity to persuade viewers to give the critically-lauded but low-rated series a boost. "Just tape The Big Bang Theory for once, for crying out loud!" Fey joked, referring to her stiff time slot competition.

Claire Danes of Homeland, Julianne Moore of HBO's election telepic Game Change and the cast of Downton Abbey also took home awards in the television categories, while on the motion picture side Tommy Lee Jones beat Denzel Washington for his role in Lincoln and Jennifer Lawrence won Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook

The SAG Awards is the last major stop before the Oscars, which take place on February 24.
