T.J. Jackson Asks Estate for More Money to Care for Michael Jackson's Kids

MJ's nephew was appointed co-guardian of his three kids last year.

Being a father isn't cheap, especially if your kids are Jacksons.
Michael Jackson's nephew T.J. Jackson (son of Tito Jackson), who was appointed co-guardian of the King of Pop's kids last year amid a vicious family feud, has asked the executors of his uncle's estate to compensate him for his parental duties.
The request doesn't seem rooted in greed. T.J. made the case that, as a husband and father with three kids of his own, it was becoming difficult for him to be surrogate dad to MJ's three kids and hold down a full-time job.
The estate has asked a judge to allow the executors to pay T.J. $9,000 a month for his duties, TMZ reports, pointing out that T.J. hasn't yet been paid a penny since taking responsibility of Michael's kids in July.
T.J. stepped in last year as co-guardian of MJ's three children to shield them from the ongoing family feud that had erupted between the late pop star's siblings. At the time, appointing the 34-year-old seemed like the best solution for the kids, especially Paris Jackson, who didn't get along with several of her father's siblings. Their legal and sole guardian, Katherine Jackson, was 85 and under pressure from her children to fight the executors of Michael's will.
As co-guardians, T.J. and Katherine seem to have been doing a good job of stabilizing the children's lives and home. Hopefully everything will continue to remain quiet on the Jackson front.
