Lisa Lampanelli is adding more fuel to the fire that erupted after she used the N-word on Twitter Tuesday night.

The veteran comedian, who posted a picture of herself with Girls star Lena Dunham on the social media site with a caption that said "me with my n---a," woke up to major backlash over her use of the controversial slang.

Now, Lampanelli is making matters worse by retaliating and insisting she refuses to stop using the word. "The N-word ending in 'er' is far different context from the word ending in 'a.' Ask any person who knows the urban dictionary, it means 'friend,'" she said, defending herself. "And by the way, if I had put the word ending in 'er,' that would have been a very derogatory thing about Lena meaning she is less than me, and I view her as very above me. 'A' on the end means 'my friend.'"

So far, it doesn't seem that angry Tweeters are buying her defense.
