Russell Simmons, Laz Alonso, Persia White and other celebs are showing their love for the arts by participating in Bombay Sapphire's Artisan Series.

The gin-maker teamed up the celebs with five emerging artists from around the country to create five short films that were screened at last year's prestigious Art Basel Miami, and now the Ovation network is airing a 60-minute documentary on the whole experiment called Imagination Unleashed: An Artisan's Journey. 
The documentary follows the five artist/celebrity teams as they create their short films and screen at the exclusive South Beach art fest, where Bombay Sapphire selected a winner. Russell Simmons and his brother Danny Simmons sponsored the contest through their Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation, as did Complex magazine.
