Tameka Raymond Visits Site of Son's Death
It was a bittersweet day for Tameka Raymond.
Usher's ex-wife paid a visit to Lake Lanier today, the site of her 15-year-old son Kile Glover's tragic death last year. Though she vowed never to return to the popular vacation spot, Tameka made an exception for a worthy cause. The mother of five was there to support the Kile Glover Boating Education Act, a piece of legislation created in the late teen's honor to prevent future accidents and tragedies.
Raymond was joined by Tara Prince, whose two sons were killed two weeks prior to Kile Glover on Lake Lanier when a drunk boatsman hit their craft. The boys were also memorialized in the bill.
It's been a tough year for Raymond. After her first-born son, Kile, was put on life support and subsequently died following the accident on Lake Lanier, in which a speed craft crashed into his inner tube, she resumed her bitter custody battle with ex-husband Usher over their sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd. The R&B star was granted full custody of the boys by a judge.
Raymond has been focusing on the positive lately, launching the Kile's World Foundation in honor of her late son earlier this month, and now coming out in support of the safety legislation in Georgia to prevent further sporting tragedies.
Hopefully, better days are ahead for Tameka.
