Critics' Choice Television Awards Shuns Scandal

Angela Bassett and Don Cheadle scored nominations.

Scandal may have been the breakaway hit of prime-time television this year, but the show got no love from the Critics' Choice Television Awards.
Nominees for the Broadcast Television Journalists Association's third annual fete were announced, with Kerry Washington and Shonda Rhimes' political drama notably left off the list. Scandal was one of the most talked about shows of the year, soaring in the ratings and constantly trending on Twitter.
Those that did make the cut, however, include Don Cheadle (House of Lies), Angela Bassett (Betty & Coretta), Alfre Woodard (Steel Magnolias), Regina King (Southland) and RuPaul (RuPaul's Drag Race).
Winners will be announced on June 10 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Parks and Recreation star Retta will host the proceedings. For a complete list of nominees, click here.
