An insider close to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West has given fans an insight into the couple's unconventional baby name. The new parents of baby girl North West were aiming for a moniker that was more "inspirational than directional," the source tells TMZ.
"What’s North of North? Nothing," Yeezy is reportedly telling friends. The person also elaborates that the "duo believes North is their highest point together as a couple" and that she represents a kind of “North Star” for them.
The power couple welcomed their baby girl on June 15, weeks before her due date. Mom and baby spent a week in the hospital to monitor North's health, a standard precaution for a premature baby. It was a big week for West, who also dropped his album Yeezus days after North's unexpected birth.
