Foxy Brown Responds to Stolen Weave Accusation

Salon owner claims Brown skipped out on $900 bill.

Last month, a New York salon owner accused Foxy Brown of walking off with $900 of fake hair without paying her tab. The stylist, named G-Star, released dozens of text messages between herself and Brown about the weave incident, indicating that Brown was thrilled with her hair. When G-Star attempted to collect on her bill, however, she claims Brown asked her to "Google the address" of her management company and send the invoice there.
Now, in a revealing and emotional interview about her life on MTV's RapFix Live, Brown addresses G-Star's attempt to smear her reputation. "I wasn’t shocked because I know people, she begins. "I come from a long lineage of strong Trinidadian women. Beautiful and intelligent women — those morals have been instilled in me as a child and when you see stuff like that...this particular hair situation — who says those things?"

She continues, "I’ve decided that I’m gonna make an example of her. If no other artist is bold enough to say, ‘I’m gonna sue this person. You are not going to get away with straight accusing someone.’ What was alleged from this beast was something that’s never been attributed to my name. Ever. Foxy is known for two things, fashion and hair. People throw clothes at me. Every hair house in America... we get shipments every day of the best hair in the world so when someone runs up on you with a phone, [then sends it to blogs], there is an ulterior motive here."
She goes on to reveal her plans for retribution. "So I said, ‘You know what? I’m gonna flip it.’ For so many years, they’ve been trying to get me to do a hair line so since I got all this press, I’m going to do this boutique collection and just shut the game down. So I’m announcing that, I have a new line of hair coming out."
Talk about turning adversity into opportunity. And adversity is something Foxy has had plenty of throughout her long and controversial career. The rapper has grown a tough skin through it all, but she admits that sometimes the rumors and gossip can get to her. "When it’s completely redundant, when it’s negative stuff being said constantly, it becomes annoying. It becomes tiring."

She adds, "What I’ve been through…you guys don’t understand. The fact that somebody can just lie and it becomes a trending topic and everyone’s just talking about and you have to come out of the booth and stop what I’m doing to defend a lie. You know me, I’m far from weak. I have the heart of a soldier, but after a while it becomes like, ‘Let her live. Let her live.’"
Brown failed to clarify if creating competition is the only recourse she'll take against G-Star and the hair salon, or if a lawsuit is indeed in the works.
