In her new series, Instant Mom, Tia Mowry-Hardrict plays a former party girl who has to snap into mom mode when she marries a man with three kids. The actress — and real-life mom to 2-year-old Cree Hardrict — gave us some of her best parenting advice when we caught up with her at the NickMom Social event in celebration of the show.
"You want to be the best mom you can be," says Mowry-Hardrict. "Especially if you're a new mom, you want to be perfect. But that's just not realistic. When I had my baby, I was totally overwhelmed. He was crying every two hours, he was hungry every two hours, and then I was crying!" Adds Mowry-Hardrict, "It's important to remember we're all in this together."

Wendy Williams, who has a 13-year-old son, Kevin, came out to support Instant Mom, but admitted she had to rush home to check up on her son. "I have to make sure homework is done, and that he's not playing Grand Theft Auto!" she joked.
Mowry-Hardrict's co-star Sheryl Lee Ralph, who plays her mother-in-law on Instant Mom, reminds moms to take care of themselves. She adds, "If mom isn't happy, nobody's happy!"
