The Best Man Holiday Cast Covers Ebony

Nia Long, Sanaa Lathan, Morris Chestnut and more reunite.

The countdown is on for The Best Man Holiday, the long-awaited sequel to the beloved 1999 romantic comedy, and to gear up for the big release (on November 15), the entire cast of the film has assembled for the cover of Ebony magazine.

Fans of the original film, which stars Taye Diggs as a writer juggling two women whose memoir reveals secrets about his close group of friends on the eve of his best friend's wedding, are grateful for the effort the cast made to get the film into production. "There is a desire to see these types of images on screen," says Chestnut.

Lathan says the cast was as excited as the fans to reunite for the film. "It was like we were at an adult camp when we went to work," she says. "We should have had a behind-the-scenes camera because we were having so much fun."
Meanwhile, co-star Melissa De Sousa drops some hints about what we can expect from the group, reunited after 15 years. "Secrets come out, and it’s scary.  There’s also a sad surprise that makes my stomach hurt thinking about it," she teases. Adds Monica Calhoun, "people will learn the value of friendship, tough times and new life."
Based on the hot anticipation for the film, expressed by fans all over social media, some analysts are betting that The Best Man Holiday may cross the coveted $100 million mark at the box office. Lee Daniels' The Butler made it over while Think Like a Man fell just short.
