The 20-year-old lands spot on Rich Kids of Beverly Hills.
Magic Johnson's son EJ Johnson is looking to step out from his father's shadow and build his own legacy. The 20-year-old took the first step this week by announcing he signed on to star in the E! Networks reality series Rich Kids of Beverly Hills.
Johnson, who publicly came out as gay earlier this year, broke the news when he was a guest host on Fashion Police with Joan Rivers. “You’ll see me doing the absolute worst with all my crazy friends,” he revealed to Rivers.
The son of the NBA legend also told Rivers he and his father go on frequent shopping trips together. The elder Johnson became a contender for Father of the Year months ago when he spoke about supporting his son's decision to come out. “I don’t care about the backlash, if somebody doesn’t agree, that’s just tough on them. I’m gonna love my son until the end,” he said. “He has a right to decide who he wants to be, who he wants to date, and who he wants to marry, and he has decided that that’s a man, and that’s okay by us.”
Hopefully, we'll get to see some of their father-son bonding on the series, which is scheduled to debut in January.
