Shaq, Shaunie O'Neal Go to Court Over New Reality Show

NBA legend reportedly doesn't want their kids on show.

Shaquille O'Neal and Shaunie O'Neal are involved in a Basketball Wives-worthy fight over the latter's proposed new reality show. The exes faced off in court on Thursday after Shaunie filed legal documents stating her ex-husband was extorting her for $1 million in order to give her the necessary permission to launch the show, which would feature their four kids.
The BBW creator also claims that Shaq's disapproval is based on sour grapes and not concern for their children, because he made several failed attempts to sell a reality show about himself and the kids. She also told the court she needs to do the show to pay her bills, because Shaq doesn't pay her any alimony.
Sources close to the NBA legend tells TMZ that Shaunie's claims are baseless, and that O'Neal provides $100,000 per month in child support. The judge seems to agree with Shaq, and refused Shaunie's request for an immediate court order allowing her kids to sign on to the show. He agreed to a hearing in late January, despite Shaunie's claims that the needed approval by the first week of January or else the project would be dead.
A hearing is scheduled for next month, but sounds like it might be too late for the reality show maven to launch her new project.
