The Oscar-nominee is on track for her biggest payday yet.
In just two short years, Quvenzhané Wallis has gone from Bayou kid to Oscar nominee to Hollywood power player. The ten-year-old star of Annie is set for a major payday for the film Annie, TMZ reports. Wallis could earn up to $2 million for playing the famous orphan in the musical, which also stars Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz and is produced by Will Smith and Jay Z.
Wallis is scheduled to receive a base salary of $750,000 and a bonus of $750,000 if the movie performs well, TMZ reports, citing legal documents. Additionally, she will receive five percent of profits, five percent of all merchandising and 10 percent of soundtrack royalties, the report says.
Further, her contract states that her name would not appear lower than the second position on the list of credits, alongside co-stars Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz. She also has veto power over bloopers.
Looks like the Beasts of the Southern Wild star is going to be a force in the film industry!
