EJ Johnson is the latest celebrity to undergo gastric bypass surgery, the reality star revealed to E! News. Magic Johnson's fashion forward son announced his desire to have the procedure on the season finale of his reality show Rich Kids of Beverly Hills and went through with it two weeks after production wrapped on the series.
"A lot of people think it's the easy way out, but it's not. It's a step in the right direction, just a big push," he said on the final episode of the season. "I feel very mature, kind of in the right place for it and I'm very ready to look cute. The surgery is a huge deal for me and it will certainly be a positive change." People.com reported Johnson has already lost 50 pounds.
The celeb scion, who came out to his family at age 17 and was then "outed" by TMZ over a year ago, said he planned to enjoy soul food for his last supper before the stomach-shrinking surgery. Looks like we'll be seeing a whole new EJ on season three of his show!
