Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart Partner Up for Central Intelligence

Plus, new projects for Lee Daniels and Ving Rhames.

Kevin Hart scored a huge hit earlier this year when he teamed up with Ice Cube for the buddy cop comedy Ride Along, and now the actor is hoping to recreate the magic with Dwayne Johnson. The duo will come together to star in the comedy Central Intelligence for the director of We're the Millers and Dodgeball.
Hart will play a former high school sports star turned accountant who, on the eve of a class reunion, is contacted by a former classmate who used to be a bullied "loser" but is now a contract killer for the CIA — played, of course, by Johnson — who will recruit Hart's character to help foil a plot to sell classified military secrets.
The Real Husbands of Hollywood star will squeeze in the shoot for Central Intelligence this coming spring. The actor has been churning out projects, with a handful of films — a sequel to Ride Along and the comedies The Wedding Ringer and Get Hard — scheduled for release early next year.
Meanwhile, Lee Daniels is switching gears for his next project as director and will try his hand at the thriller genre. The Butler helmer has signed on to direct Demon House, based on the real-life account of demonic possesion by Latoya Ammons of Gary, Ind. Ammons has signed over her life rights to producers, including the details of the two years when her home was allegedly occupied by the demons. Ammons and her family received international media attention after the Department of Child Services witnessed and documented the Ammons family's claims.
Lastly, Ving Rhames will add a role in Blood Reef to his resume. The actor will star alongside Luke Goss in the sci-fi action film, which follows a young stockbroker on his honeymoon who is kidnapped, drugged and brainwashed by a corrupt shadow intelligence agency looking to create the ultimate killing machine.
