See which other titles made the top ten.

2014 was another great year at the box office for Black films — from buddy comedies to period dramas to action thrillers, movies with Black leads held the number one spot quite a few times and raked in more than half a billion dollars in ticket sales.
According to a list compiled by IndieWire.com's Shadow & Act, the top ranking Black film at the box office this year was Kevin Hart and Ice Cube's Ride Along. The film grossed $134.9 million and catapulted Hart from cult favorite to A-lister.
