Michael Sam is no longer a free agent — at least, as far as his relationships are concerned. Sam, who made history this year as the first openly gay NFL player, is engaged to his boyfriend, Vito Cammisano, according to TMZ.
Sam, who was drafted by the Rams in the seventh round of the 2014 NFL draft, has been vacationing with his boyfriend in and around Rome, tweeting pictures of the two at the Roman Colosseum. The couple are college sweethearts, and caused a stir when he planted a kiss on Cammisano after being drafted into the NFL earlier this year.
Friends of the couple revealed the happy news, though Sam has yet to confirm the announcement.
