Larry Wilmore Talks the State of the Black Protest

Daily Show correspondent launches The Nightly Show.

Larry Wilmore has very big shoes to fill as he takes over Stephen Colbert's slot on Comedy Central, but based on the first episode of The Nightly Show, he's clearly up to the task.
Wilmore, who for years was the "Senior Black Correspondent" on Jon Stewart's Daily Show, kicks off his debut with a recap of the state of the Black protest. The satirist compares the marches in Ferguson, New York and other cities concerning police brutality against Black men and boys to some of the year's most successful protests...including one to replace the chocolate in Harry Potter candy bars with fair trade.
The humorist also takes on the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences over this year's whitewashed Oscar nominations, promising to #KeepIt100 with his analysis.
Check out the clip below of The Nightly Show, which premiered last night on Comedy Central. The Nightly Show airs weeknights at 11:30 p.m.
