Beyoncé Threatens Legal Action Over 'Feyoncé' Mugs on Etsy

Lawyers for pop icon tell online seller to take down items.

Published January 24, 2015

Beyoncé doesn't mind if you say her name, but at least say it right. One seller on the online crafts marketplace Etsy learned that lesson the hard way when the shop recieved a cease-and-desist letter from Bey's legal team over the sale of "Feyoncé" mugs.

The kitschy wedding gifts are a play on Bey's name, complete with a ring in place of the O. TMZ reports that the pop icon disapproved of the items and that the Etsy seller knew better than to put up a fight. The items have since been removed.

There are still plenty of other Beyoncé-inspired items for sale on Etsy for those who want a piece of the Queen.
