Larry Wilmore Blasts Parents Who are Afraid to Give Children Vaccines

The Nightly Show host talks the harsh symptoms of the disease and jokes about its name.

On last night's episode of The Nightly Show, host Larry Wilmore spoke about the recent measles outbreak in the U.S. that originated in Disneyland. After comparing the disease to an adorable puppy — insinuating that its name may seem deceiving — the satirical TV personality showed clips of professionals commenting on the outbreak. During the segment, a clip of actress/model Jenny McCarthy sharing her opinions on vaccinations popped up, prompting laughter and confusion from both Wilmore and the audience.

"Oh, for f***'s sake, Jenny McCarthy?" he said. "Look, maybe it's just me, but I don't think it's a good idea to take medical advice from a non-doctor."

Later on in the segment, Wilmore discussed parents' refusal to vaccinate their children in fear of them contracting other ailments and deformities.
