Brown's boyfriend issues a new statement through lawyer.

Bobbi Kristina Brown’s boyfriend Nick Gordon is "desperately" trying to find a way to be by her side, his lawyer says in a new statement. Gordon hasn't been seen at Emory University Hospital, where the music scion lies in a medically-induced coma, in over two weeks.

Sources report that Brown's family has banned Gordon from seeing her and a criminal investigation is underway as to how she wound up in her condition. Gordon is at the center of that investigation, with sources saying the couple have a history of violence and bruises were spotted on Brown's face when she was found unresponsive in her bathtub on January 31

In a new statement to Us Weekly, Gordon’s attorneys say he wants to see his longtime love, but is respecting her family’s “requests.”

“Nick has been trying, privately, to do everything he can to see Bobbi Kristina cooperatively,” his lawyers says. “He has respected the family’s wishes and for that reason alone has not returned to the hospital and risked a public confrontation. But he desperately wants to be with the one he loves and continues to hope that his request will be granted.”

The statement comes after Bobbi Kristina’s dad, Bobby Brown, revealed that Gordon was never officially married to Bobbi and follows news that prior to Bobbi’s hospitalization, there had been a domestic abuse 911 call which may have involved the couple.

Sources close to Whitney Houston’s daughter also admit that “Nick used to be a little hotheaded around her,” and that he was “not good for her.” Despite all the claims, Gordon’s lawyers previously stated that he “remains in constant prayer for his companion and he hopes to be reunited with her soon.”

Gordon isn't the only one from the 21-year-old's extended family speaking to the media. Various relatives of Brown, some on the condition of anonymity, have spoken to the press about her prognosis. Us Weekly reports that many of these family members, according to a source, are asking for compensation and perks from the media in exchange for spilling details about the ailing singer. Bobby Brown issued a statement this week slamming the sources as "unauthorized."

"None of them are approved visitors to see Bobbi Kristina," the statement reads. "None of them have firsthand knowledge of Bobbi Kristina’s treatment and the medical staff at Emory University Hospital has not communicated with them."

Alicia Etheredge, Bobby Brown's current wife, told TMZ yesterday that Bobbi Kristina's survival is prayer. When asked about Nicki Gordon, she allegedly "bristled."
